Creating a Jeopardy Game
1. Open PowerPoint
2. Create a Table on the first slide of the PPT that has 5 columns and 6 rows.
-You can create action buttons that are side by side in a 5x6 array
3. Use a solid or gradient background
4. On the first slide above the table put the word Jeopardy in Word Art.
5. The squares in the first row of the table are topics of your questions.
6. If you are doing a Math Jeopardy, then ALL QUESTIONS have to be about math.
If you are doing a Science Jeopardy, then ALL QUESTIONS have to be about science.
If you are doing a Language Arts Jeopardy, then ALL QUESTIONS have to be about L.A. etc…
7. Use fonts that are large enough to see clearly
8. Each column has point values of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50.
9. To turn off “advance by spacebar” go to:
a. Slide show on the menu bar
b. Setup show on the ribbon
c. Click “Browsed by a kiosk”
d. Click “OK”
10. Hyperlink each point value to a slide with a question.
11. Hyperlink the question to an answer slide
12. Hyperlink the answer slide back to the First Slide that has the Jeopardy screen.
13. Once you are finished you should have 51 slides; 25 questions, 25 answers, and the 1st slide.
14. Check ALL hyperlinks when you are finished to make sure they are working. Make sure the “Browsed by Kiosk” is turned on (see number 9).
